He describes how hundreds of food trucks are sitting undistributed, cleared by Israel, with food for Gazans.

But they are sitting there rotting. And not because of Israel, he says.

He says that he has, multiple times, been subjected to smears and seen falsehoods spread about his organization. He describes how the organization has distributed over 91 million meals across Gaza, and hopes to distribute far more. But rather than cooperate, the United Nations has refused to work with the GHF, and instead is smearing and insulting the GHF as the problem, rather than part of the solution.

This is disturbing to read, because it makes clear the GHF is *trying* to distribute food to Gazans, but that the UN and other NGOs are too wedded to a system coopted by Hamas (who are seen on video stealing food, wearing plain civilian clothes and hefting weapons, and who Gazans themselves say are stealing food), and too willing to work with Hamas but not with Israel. This article brushes off criticism from a variety of sources of the [Gaza Humanitarian Foundation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_Humanitarian_Foundation) as "smears" without justification. Hundreds of organizations and individuals have criticized it. More than 170 NGOs have gone so far as to call for it to be shut down because its practices cause injury or death to Palestinians. Even people who have joined and then left have some choice words.

It's also worth noting that GHF serves a political agenda, with backing by the Israeli and American governments. Leadership includes the author of this op-ed, Johnnie Moore Jr., a conservative evangelical Christian who served as Jerry Falwell's assistant.

So I find the complaints by Moore about the UN not transferring aid to his organization to be disingenuous. His organization hasn't mastered the fine art of not getting people shot by the hundreds (and that's just since May). So start there before complaining.

Just for context. There were hundreds of UN-run aid distribution points around Gaza, these were dismantled, and now there’s about 30 run by Israel. Oh yeah and also now they randomly kill people queueing for aid, so there’s that.

Well even being Pro-Israel I can point out that this wouldn’t work since the issue is really logistic not aid access.

The NGOs complaining about access also have hundreds of trucks they can’t move because they can’t find drivers willing to drive into the Strip.


Arab nations couldn’t supply drivers any better without their militaries being involved and that isn’t going to happen because of the politics and the IDF concerns.

UN aid being impartial means the exact opposite of what you are saying. They in no way are allowed to be feeding the military of any one of the warring parties. So when you say that Hamas is the government and is responsible for distributing aid you are wrong. The aid organizations are supposed to distribute the aid and in fact should be reporting any instance of Hamas taking or diverting any of that aid. The whole idea of impartiality is so that the aid groups can operate inside a war zone without being accused of helping one side or the other.

If Israel would actually make concrete steps to ensure that Arab countries would not be signing up for ethnic cleansing and massacres of Palestinians by helping Israel secure aid distribution then your argument would have basis, but Israel has steadfast refused to accommodate Arab countries concerns of this and so why should Arab countries fall on the sword for Israel to refuse to take any steps to a two state solution?

1. UN had not been honest. It had said "Hamas is not getting or stealing the aid", UN had downplayed Hamas involvement. UN has not been transparent, so how many tons of aid and food had been supplied, given or taken by Hamas ? 

2. The aid are donated and meant for Gazan civilians. It was nevet meant for Hamas. UN has an obligation to its donor and its misleading donors to accept donations and diverting aid to Hamas, a terrorist organization. Is the UN supporting and supplying terrorists ? Has UN informed its donors that X amount of aid is being given to Hamas ? Can donors opt out that their donations could end up in the hands of Hamas ?

3. UN states that Gaza is an occupied territory of Israel. Partly because Israel controls Gaza. UN also said it sent a list of all UN staff list to Israel every year for approval.... UN recognizes Israel as the occupying power in Gaza not Hamas. UN does not recognize Hamas. AFAIK, UN only recognize Palestinian Authority as the legitimate government of the State of Palestine including Gaza, not Hamas.

4. UN had repeatedly been biased. UN had prematurely concluded there is a genocide even before the ICJ made a final ruling, it bypass the ICJ court, taking the law into its own hands, interference in the legal process. UN had also made repeated false warnings 14,000 babies could die in 48 hours,  lies. 

5. UN had said there is no safe place in Gaza, yet we only recently found out Deir-al-Balah had not had Israeli ground attack until a few days ago. Many UN staffs, coordinators, suspected terrorists and hostages are in Deir-al-Balah. We never heard about 400 food distribution sites until early 2025, when Gaza Humanitarian Foundation was floated. If you search for information on 400 food distribution sites back in 2023 or 2024, cannot find. Lack transparency. Always said no food no food...OMG Israel hit a cafe where people including journalists were hiding. No food and yet there is cafe selling pizza in Gaza ? WTF, people eating in cafes, in restaurants ?

6. There were Hamas tunnels, assets near or in or within UN facilities, UN schools, UN hospitals, UN refugee camps, etc...

There's no lack of food. There's a lack of humanitarian access to the Strip. Gulf states simply won't be allowed in, because GHF is a control mechanism. That's the whole answer.

Regarding the rest of your post:

It's worth noting, and not said enough, that there's not even real evidence for the idea that Hamas steals aid in any significant quantities. Nor is there a proposed way that selling this aid at marked up prices really changes anything in this conflict anyway. Like, Hamas is the state. They have access to various funds, all kinds of infrastructure, and an armed wing. It's a lie of course with zero credible sources, but Israel goes around saying how all Hamas leaders are billionaires anyway. I don't see why Hamas would bother making a few shekels on overpriced bags of flour when they could just requisition what they need from Gazans anyway. Who would stop them?

There's no way of importing weapons or anything else into Gaza. If Hamas sells some flour, what are gonna buy with the profits that they don't already own, can't simply take, and which would really give them a leg up in the war?

Also let's note that GHF doesn't actually do any checking about whether someone picking up aid is Hamas anyway, so the whole narrative about stolen aid is really just a cover story so that Israel can weaponize food and turn it on or off at will as they did with water, electricity, and border crossings themselves...

It is a nice sentiment, and I wish they could. Why can't they drop food? Who do you think controls the air space? Israel. They need Israeli permission. If Israel insists they don't want a morsel of food to go through, aid organizations can only protest. They can't go in, they can't do air drops. Israel has killed people who have worked for NGOs before. If Israel wants to starve thousands of Palestinians in Gaza they can. The Europeans, Canadians, Americans have intelligence officers, they know Israel wants to "THIN THE HERD" as much as possible and possibly annex as much as they can and try hard to deport as many as they can to Libya or some other country. In the end, food cannot go in without the US or Western powers forcing Israel to do so.

At this point: Israel is practicing both direct and indirect genocide methods toward Gazans.

If Gazans try to go get aid: Israel will shoot them down.  And if they do not go: they will starve and would die.  And any survivors left over: will be relocated or sent away to wherever Israel deems “fitting” to break them down even more.
